Responsibilities

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is currently seeking an intern to support the Customer Service department. As an intern you will be learning key fundamental business skills. You will be working in an incredibly fast moving business, and have the opportunity to make valuable contributions. 

As an intern you will assist with the following projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responds to telephone calls in a timely and professional manner 
  • Makes outbound calls to confirm information is correct in our database
  • Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy skills
  • Resolves customer concerns, escalates to management as needed
  • Student currently pursuing a degree in a business related field

Qualifications

  • Must be a happy person with a positive attitude and a team player
  • Strong communication skills, especially on the telephone, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns and issues to their satisfaction
  • Basic PC skills including accurate keyboarding and data entry
  • Strong written communication and note taking skills
